Suggestions are clickable opening prompts shown when a conversation is empty. Clicking one sends its text verbatim as the user's message.

## Set default prompts

Open the agent's **Suggestions** settings and edit **Default prompts**. Add, reorder, or remove prompts to control the list shown on pages without a matching route override. Each prompt's kind selects its display icon; it does not change how the agent answers.

An empty default list shows no suggestions on unmatched pages.

## Override by route

Use **Add route** to supply a different list for a path prefix. A route replaces the default list rather than adding to it.

- `/settings` matches `/settings` and `/settings/profile`, but not `/settings-extra`.
- The longest matching prefix wins: `/settings/billing` takes priority over `/settings`.
- A matching route with no prompts shows no suggestions; it does not fall back to the default list.

## Override from your app

Your app can pass a `suggestions` list to the embedded assistant. This replaces the dashboard-authored default and route lists, including when your app passes an empty list to hide suggestions.
